The Space Station will no doubt lead to experimentation with large structure construction techniques and it should provide a vehicle for testing SPS concepts. Now is an excellent time for innovative thinking on ways in which the Space Station can be utilized to further research on SPS. Space Solar Power Review invites papers on this subject. This issue contains six papers presented at the recent AAAS Symposium on “Hard and Soft Technology — Coexistence or Divergencies.” An excellent introduction to these papers has been provided by Drs. Cheston and Glaser. We are pleased that the authors of these papers have agreed to have their papers appear in the Space Solar Power Review. John W. Freeman Editor-in-Chief
