(The 0.01 mW/cm2 is the most stringent limit in the existing microwave standards of the world.) It may be noted that the optimal taper can reduce the highest sidelobe peak from 0.07 mW/cm2 for the 10 dB Gaussian taper to 0.01 mW/cm2 while achieving a cost reduction. Less RFI (radio frequency interference) will be present for the lower sidelobe systems since more power is focused into the main beam.
