These need to be explored by the scientific and technical community at meetings such as the international symposium in Toulouse and at meetings of international organizations such as the United Nations and the International Astronautical Federation. Such meetings will ensure that information will become available to the international decision makers. Perhaps the most cogent reason for consideration of the SPS at an international symposium is its potential, not only for baseload power generation on a global scale, but also for expanding human activities in space as the ultimate destiny of humanity.
