Very precise and very performing computation methods must be developed in order to evaluate the influence on this pattern (and consequently on the power density on Earth): - of random disturbances of the transmitting antenna illumination law. - of a breakdown of the elementary arrays belonging to a part of this antenna. The results of these evaluations will allow to establish the acceptable limit of the random disturbances and local breakdowns without having to stop the yield of the SPS. REFERENCES 1.
